A little bit about me

I was born in the UK but I have lived on the North Shore of Auckland since I was a teenager, so I really consider myself a Kiwi! I have been happily married close on 40 years and have 2 adult daughters. My husband and I have recently purchased a property in Te Awamutu and will be relocating there full time in 2021.  As I am now sharing my time between Auckland and the Waikato, I am keen to work with couples in both areas.

My working career has spanned many areas of administration, so I'm good at dotting the i's and crossing the t's. My passion is Event Management, there's always lots of planning involved but it is so satisfying when it all comes together on the day.

I live by the principle that life is for living, I'm always on the hunt for the next challenge, whether it's jumping off the Sky Tower, completing the Oxfam 100km walk, cycling Lake Taupo or travelling to a new destination. Other interests include entertaining, golf, walking, travel and the occasional jigsaw! I am active within Rotary both at a club and district level and very much enjoy being involved in the community and giving back. I love our four legged friends, so if you have a family pet you would like included in your special day, let's talk and see what the options are to have them involved.

Why be a wedding celebrant? Quite simply, I'm a people person, I love being with people, one of my strengths is the ability to relate to people from all walks of life, whatever their background, ethnicity or sexuality. The joining of two people in a relationship is a very special occasion and it gives me the greatest of pleasure to work with couples to realise their hopes and dreams of the special day they have planned.
